Just gave my CFA L1 in June. Completed FRM in November last year. The first thing to remember is that the FRM exam completely focuses on risk, and risk only. Every single idea that you learn is from a risk perspective.
Coming to the breadth of the syllabus, I had to cover a lot more topics during CFA L1 preps compared to each part of FRM. The subject might be slightly dry compared to CFA.
I had only referred to Schweser Notes for both the parts. Part 1 is more quantitative while part 2 is predominantly qualitative. While for CFA, Schweser EOC questions and mocks are very near to actual exam difficulty, it's not the case with FRM. Schweser questions don't come anywhere near the difficulty level of exam. This was especially felt during part 1 exam. That Bionic Turtle provides materials that come very near to the actual exam standards, is what I have heard.
According to AutoIt, its native decompiler supports scripts compiled with AutoIt v.22.214.171.124 and earlier. If the script was compiled with a later version of AutoIt, the decompiler will not work. Step Locate the decompiler. According to AutoIt, the decompiler program is usually installed at C: Program Files AutoIt3 Extras Exe2Aut Exe2Aut.exe.
I have friends who have done FRM and just gave the CFA L2 in June. They seem to think that CFA L2 is significantly tougher than both parts of FRM. CFA L1 felt relatively easy compared to FRM exams.
However, CFA L1 apparently has candidates scoring way higher marks, I suppose. FRM part 1 was downright difficult where after the exam I was quite sure that I would fail.
CFA L1 felt comparatively trickier, teasing you into believing that you might know the answer. FRM 2 was similar to CFA L1 in that both the exams were qualitative in nature.
I would say CFA L1. Some guys get in because they worked corporate FP&A for a few years and know the industry inside and out.
That makes them easier hires for ER analysts who cover that sector. Generally the older you get the harder it is to get in from UG without great work experience. If you find yourself there and still want ER, MBA may be your only choice and even then its slim pickings/low probability. CFA helps but more from the aspect that you are disadvantaged without and neutral with it. ER as a whole is a tiny industry in Canada and starting pay isnt even that good. I know its sexy and all that but probably 2% of applicants get in and its not exactly a booming sector.
Worth rethinking if you find yourself trying for a few years and getting no where. It really depends on your background in my opinion. I have fairly easily passed both levels of FRM in one year.
I have a background in Physics and have worked on an options trading desk. If you have a quantitative background, i.e. Math, engineering, physics, etc. You'll find FRM much easier than CFA.
This June, I sat for CFA level 2 and must say that I find CFA more difficult because of the more qualitative and broader nature. If you like Quant, FI and derivatives on the cfa exam, you'll probably like the FRM as well.

Greetings People.
I am sure that many of you are grinding for the upcoming level 1 exam, so I would like to offer some words of reassurance. The Official CFAI Questions are harder than the actual exam. The emoji movie free. The Schweser Practice Tests are harder than the actual exam. Don't be discouraged if you found the CFAI questions difficult.
